BACCANARI DESIGN
ABOUT
Lori Baccanari
As a child, I loved swimming in the ocean and pool, boating in the river, and skiing and camping in the mountains. I enjoyed activities that put me in touch with nature and people. My biggest passion, however, was art and design. It didn't matter if I was cross-stitching an ornament, painting a picture or re-designing my bedroom. I could always lose track of time when I was "creating."
In college, my parents encouraged me to focus on Math since it promised a good career path. I worked for a software company after graduation, but spent weeknights and weekends on various creative outlets, mainly involving paint and design. When I had a family, it gave me time to re-evaulate my career, and at that time I decided to return to my true passion full time - art and design.
My interior designs encourage my clients to be true to themselves and embrace their unique style. I usually suggest a mix of new and vintage pieces, allowing my clients' homes to look collected over time. No two homes will look alike as I involve my clients in the whole design process to help select colors, patterns, and materials that speak to them.
My artwork is mainly inspired by the simplicity and beauty of everyday life. Having lived on the east coast my entire life, I wake up every day feeling grateful for this life.
